Text video rosegarden Coloma - English
In Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, a mere 10 kilometres from the centre Brussels, you will find the Rosegarden of Coloma: a garden unique for many reasons. Nowhere in the world do this many roses bloom on a surface of 2.2 hectares: 3000 varieties, ranging from the delightful antique roses up to magnificent recent rose breds, climbing and rambling roses and bush roses. These flowers originate from as many as 25 countries allover the world, with a particular Japanese rosegarden.
The result is a lovely, fragrant international bouquet of over 300 000 flowers.
In the park next to the Rosegarden, you will find the Museum of the Rose. This museum tells you all you want to know about roses and is proud of its interactive digital rose encyclopedia.
The Castle of Coloma in the Park hosts the annual Rosedays: always about the rose, but different every year nonetheless: in perfumes, arrangements, dresses, paintings …. With only one star on the playlist: the rose.
